Licensing Board Polygraph

Occasionally a professional licensing board, such as the Texas Board of Nursing or Texas Medical Board, disciplines a licensed professional. Sometimes when licensure or certification reinstatement is sought, there is an investigation into the licensee's character.  This may also occur with Attorneys (and the State Bar), or pilots (and the Federal Aviation Administration).

When a professionally licensed or certified person seeks reinstatement, they usually seek an attorney, counselor. and polygraph examiner. Precision Polygraph of Texas does conduct this type of polygraph examination.

The professional seeking reinstatement should discuss the situation thoroughly with their advisors. Then should a polygraph be needed, contact PPoT and it will conduct that. A few details on this process:

• Being found to show No Deception Indicated on a polygraph examination in no way assures that reinstatement will occur. PPoT takes no responsibility for the actions of the governing board.
